Review from Trip Advisor on Bergen Oslo

“Each man left to fight his own battle "

There was no one to direct us, only a limited numbers of obscure signs and overbooked transfers. Some kids had to sit on the floor of the bus down the hairpin turns, which was outright dangerous, not to mention uncomfortable, and they could not see out the window!
The ride along the fjord was on a "commuter-type" ferry with very limited seats, and with the rain coming down most time of the cruise, it was a totally horrible experience squeezing in a tiny covered back deck with a couple of hundreds of wet, sweaty bodies. The was also no advice on the need to prepare or purchase lunch and dinner. So with the limited offer on the ferry long after lunch time, you can imagine how it was like with a bunch of angry and hungry people in very crowded environment!
The only saving grace of the tour was the amazing beauty nature offered. I'd do the trip again to savour the beautiful landscape, but on my own bookings. At least that way I know what to expect and have the right expectations.

“Excellent overview”

The fjords were the highlight of the trip, of course, with oohs and ahhs around every turn, and snow melting off the mountaintops into gushing waterfalls. Be prepared for cold weath transporter and rain (intermittent). Souvenir shops sell hats and gloves and heavy sweaters, but you are better off wearing your own than paying high prices out of necessity.

“Some wonderful ways to see the countryside”
For the most part this is a great tour although a long day. We did it to and from Bergen. The bus down the hairpin bends to the valley is amazing, the boat ride on the Fiords was wonderful. We had beautiful weather - cool on one arm of the fiord then calm and sunny on the next part. Very relaxing. We were able to get plastic chairs near the railing at the back which was a great spot. The Flam train was also great with fantastic views. The longest part was the train ride particularly if you don't get good seats and can't see out the windows. There are also a lot of tunnels. The views if you can see them would be lovely.
